The story of the 'Joi de Vivre' collection begins like any fairy tale
with a 'once upon a time…' that actually took place many years ago. While visiting my Mom who was a dressmaker, I gazed with fascination at the rich colors and textures of the assorted left- over fabrics. Patiently, I started rolling delicate flowers from each and every color. Mom joined in and lovingly hand stitched them with me.
She then proceeded to sew the various delightful and amazingly
life-like flowers into vibrant necklaces.

I came up with the idea to create Bouquet Pins out of a variety of flowers,
some colorful beads and delicate lace that seemed to be wrapping the assemblage.
I took the pins to the two stores that represented me at the time and was pleased
with the store owners' warm reception. What came as an utter surprise was how fast
these pins were flying out of the stores. I still happen to occasionally see women
who wear my Bouquet Pins and absolutely refuse to part with them.

Recently, I decided it was time to pay homage to my early Bouquet collection.
While updating the design by adding sparkling Swarovski crystals and silky
textiles for splashes of color, I was careful to maintain the ever optimistic
spirit and the Joy of Life that my Mom infused into the collection.
